Phone Photo Tip #2

Clean Your Lens!

Your mobile phone gets dirty when it spends a lot of time in your bag, pocket or in your hand, and as a result, the lens will get dust, grease, and fingerprints on it. This will have a negative effect on the quality of your photos. There’s no point trying to take wonderful photos if the glass of the lens has fingerprints or dust on it. It will block light from entering the camera’s sensor and will leave blurs or dust spots on your images. A clean lens will ensure you get sharp, clear images with your smartphone.

You should clean the lens each time you pull it out of your pocket or bag to take a photo. This includes the external lenses you buy from us here at Phonetographr. Use a soft lens cloth when doing this as any abrasive cleaners will scratch the glass over the lens and this will result in poorer image quality over time.

We carry lens cleaner products in our store to help you get started.

Happy Phone-tography!
